BYSA COLD WEATHER GUIDELINES
Players must dress in appropriate clothing. Field conditions will be affected by freezing rain, sleet and snow. The ground may become frozen and be unsafe for play. Temperature means either ambient (still air) or wind chill index.

Air quality is acceptable. There may be risk for some people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution. Activities remain unchanged. Those with Additional clothing is allowed as long as it’s deemed safe (see below) |

Acceptable Additional Clothing
- Layered beneath a uniform – Long sleeves, long pants (leggings), added socks
- Gloves or mittens
- Stocking caps without straps
- Sweatpants or sweatshirts in extreme conditions may be worn under the uniform provided the entire team uses the same color
- Jackets may be worn under the jersey ensuring the number is visible
Unacceptable Additional Clothing
- Hooded sweatshirts
- Earmuffs
- Scarves
